HW100 review and pellet test.

Postby 247sniper » Sun Nov 16, 2014 2:52 pm

Ok guys,

I bought a HW100 last week, fancied New toy, and the talk about the HW100 action assembley and accuracy etc drawn me in.

First impressions is it's nice handling, heavy but pretty well balanced and easy to handle. It's sub 12 ftlb and in .22, boy it is quite.....to the point I thought it was broken!

I zeroed it last week when I got it with AA fields ( 5.51) that were awesome in my Daystate. Hole on hole groups were effortless.

Managed a selection of pellet through it yesterday. At 25 yards all the pellets that were tested, out , most people would be chuffed to bits with. However, again the AA fields proved to be outstanding yet again. I put in another 5 shot group below the first left target again just to prove again that it was not a fluke!

Whilst all,the groups are very good, the AA 16 grain (5.51 head space diameter ) are mustard. ;)

I had a fantastic HW100 in a CS800 stock, but I sold it because it was just too easy to use!

I had the opportunity to shoot my brother-in-laws HW 100 last year in Ireland. My God that rifle is accurate.
