Hi Ted,

That's great news. Welcome to the wierdos creeping about in the dark club.

I've tried loads of recording devices but they were all a bit poor for our purposes which is trying to get close to what is seen through the eyepiece of the unit. The very best is the Lawmate Evo 2 which is why we stock it. http://www.nightvisionstore.co.uk/lawma ... 2x14840836

Yes it's a bit spendy to say the least, but it is the best.

I'm going to shortly trial the Lawmate PV50 which is just under £200 and should give a very good balance of image quality and price.

Then you can regail us with some vids like this one I made earlier...

Hi Peter,

Apologies for the late reply.

The NM800 will work very well, especially if you use the battery extension and 2 batteries to get full power out of it.

Yes you are being blind in not finding the SHOOTFORUM discount code in my signature.

Hi Ted,

Thanks for the write up and glad to hear you are getting on well with it.

I use my WDV all the time and it has replaced several very expensive dedicated tubed rifle scopes, and with the advent of our new Black Sun System IR Illuminators the unit has got a big boost in performance for very little extra outlay so it will do everything from air rifle to long range foxing.

Cheers

Loved the videos Clive and can't wait for my WDV700 to arrive some day this week, once you catch up. I've had the Black Sun 50mm lamp out several times over the weekend teamed up with my old Xenonics SuperVision monocular and am very impressed with the performance. It should be just the ticket when the WDV arrives and I get the Mamba Lite hooked up with both on my 223.
