Richter optics - good, bad or ugly

Postby subbyc » Mon Dec 22, 2008 1:45 am

I have a Richter Optics 4x32. I was assured that it was a good brand when I swapped it for a Nikko Sterling silver 4x32. What are your opinions and is it suitable for a .22 lr?

It was a former mate of mine (long story) who thought he knew lots about scopes etc. Unfortunately I lisened to him. On the flip side however, he bought a Tasco on ebay which wouldn't group (on a perfectly good rifle). Needless to say I am loking for another scope for my new toy (once I get it).

Aah I see. You'll have to tell me that story sometime.

I'm assuming the scope is for the .22lr? I just use a Walther 6 X 42 scope on my Brno .22. Nice clear reticule, and the fixed magnification is ideal for the calibre, what with most quarry being shot between 30 and 70 yards or so.

Problem with ebay Tascos is that - often - They aren't Tascos at all, but rubbish copies. Try the MTC Cobra (Foxy off here sells them) I think the 3-9 X 40 was around £50 or £60. Robbie might even have one kicking about still.
