I've been Ratting on a Poultry Farm for a number of months now and have been lucky enough to try out a variety of pellets.
Of course the usual JSB's, H&N & alike are great, accurate and well made pellets, but they can become expensive. 50+ rats at a time, along with check zeroing prior, was begining to put a dent in my fairly thin wallet.
So far I have found that the BSA Interceptor, both in .22 & .177 (for my sub 12ftlb) rifles, prove to be accurate at the shorter ranges, when ratting around the coupes and also very effective.
They are hard hitting, despatch quarry cleanly and rarely pass through, although I will always ensure there is a suitable backstop, regardless of pellet choice. When using Night Vision equipment, IR or Lamp, you can generally see the path of travel also.
In terms of price, I have managed to find both for less then £10 for 1000 x .177 & £9.99 for 500 x .22 on ebay.uk
