Anschutz 1761

Postby jack1 » Wed May 01, 2019 10:48 pm

Hi I have just ordered the Anschutz 1761 .22 with 20 inch barrel. Who has experience of Anschutz .22s and what ammunition would you recommend for competition from 25 to 100 bench rest

Thanks

I shoot BR with an Anschutz Match 54. It seems to like SK Match and Eley top end stuff.
If you don't have to give up your car because other people commit crimes in their cars, why should I have to give up my firearms because other people commit crimes with their firearms?

I have just ordered the new 1761 with the thumbhole stock and 20inch barrel. In my existing rifle SK match is good at 25 and RWS R50 is (so far) the best for 50,

Don't be tempted to try high velocity for 100 yards. It's a waste of time, no accuracy and more affected by wind.

My two 1613's are happy with SK Std Plus and SK Rifle Match, or Eley Match. Every rifle will be different, but using good quality ammunition helps to prevent a lot of tears. ;)

I like SK as the cost is so much less. Have you tried Lapua Cntre X? Some of the members have had good results
